Rafting Selection
The Rafting Selection is the most flexible option because it adapts
to water levels that change depending on the season.
The Dora Baltea is a living river with water levels that vary with rainfall and snowmelt, and there
is not always enough water to navigate all the sections we offer, especially at the beginning and end of the season.
We offer the “Selection” solution to ensure fun at any time of the year.
On the day itself, we will select the most enjoyable stretch of river to navigate based on the water levels present.

Rafting Selection In search of waves
With the “selection” downhill ride, we will search for the best conditions to enjoy the rapids and waves.
We guarantee about an hour of navigation, including paddling and water activities.
How the “Selection” formula works
Every morning, Rafting Republic’s F.I.Raft guides assess the water levels, weather conditions, and safety of the river sections.
Based on the latest hydrometric data, they choose the most enjoyable and safest route for that day.
It is not possible to know this in advance because the Dora Baltea changes every day: in spring it flows fast and powerful, in summer it becomes gentler. Flexibility allows us to always guarantee an active experience, even in the quietest periods.
Who guides the descent?
The excursions are led by professional F.I.Raft-certified guides, trained to provide assistance and technical support at every stage.
The Rafting Republic team is made up of instructors with years of experience on the Dora Baltea River and direct knowledge of the Aosta Valley area.

Extra Facts – Rafting Selection: in search of quality
DID YOU KNOW: the Dora Baltea river usually begins to swell with water around the first half of May. At the end of August, we find the conditions of early May, in terms of the amount of water flowing in the river. There are sections that can only be navigated with little water and others only with a lot of water.
