Educational rafting: the value of school trips on the river

Year after year, we have verified the value of this activity, which means all of the following:

  • working in a group and for the group
  • listening, understanding, and putting instructions into practice
  • knowing how to manage independently and collaborate together from dressing to storing equipment
  • sharing a real experience
  • facing and overcoming difficulties and fears together
  • getting excited about a descent on the current
  • discovering hidden landscapes from the perspective of the Dora Baltea.

For teachers, it is an opportunity to observe their students in a different context from school, with the security of a safe and controlled environment.

Rafting for schools:
educational sports in safety

Rafting falls within the category of sports, health, and environmental projects as an effective tool for group training, suitable for new class groups that struggle to integrate and collaborate.

Precisely because of these characteristics, a school that presents a welcome project including rafting stands out for its active and proactive planning.

Outdoor educational activities on the river are safe. Our professional, insured, and up-to-date staff operates in compliance with the safety standards and regulations established by the Italian Rafting Federation.

What is a typical rafting day like for school groups?

Welcome

The day begins with the arrival of the students at our base, where we will follow the teachers' instructions and requirements to organize the experience in the best possible way.

Navigation

We will then begin our safe journey down the river, with engaging activities that will allow the children to enjoy an unforgettable experience.

Briefing

Once all the necessary technical equipment has been provided, the students can change in the changing rooms. We will then travel by vehicle to the embarkation point, where, before entering the water, we will do some practical tests on land to familiarize ourselves with the paddling movements and review the safety rules.

Base return

Upon returning to base, we can organize group games in the lake upon request to prolong the fun.

Pratical proof

Packed lunch

For packed lunches, we provide a covered area or a green area equipped with tables and chairs, where the children can relax and share their experiences together.

Green area and lunch

School groups can use the green area equipped with accessible toilets, covered tables and chairs, and a snack bar service for the entire day.

Packed lunches, cutlets, or simple dishes are available in agreement with the snack bar.

Prices and menus are available on request for school groups (info: Katia +39 338 908 0057).
