Thrilling, safe and scenic!

For those who wish to feel the thrill of rafting without going too far! The classic rafting trip winds its way through the lower section of the Dora Baltea river, exploring breathtaking scenery and medieval castles. This is the perfect introductory trip for beginners…but on a real mountain creek! You’ll still encounter a few small rapids!

The CLASSIC rafting trip is ideal for the first time rafters in Aosta Valley. The section of the Dora Baltea River, starting at the Enfer Gorges in Leverogne (Arvier) up to our base in Aymavilles, represents the right balance between thrills and safety – the perfect classic rafting experience even for those who’d rather watch the river flowing from a bridge!

During high season you will be able to navigate through the hidden corners of the river made by the Enfer canyon. In a contest of positive energy and symbiosis with the Aosta Valley nature, you will explore its breathtaking natural scenery. Keep an eye out for the medieval castles scattered along the riverside and enjoy the unusual point of view!

Extra Fact

DID YOU KNOW? By choosing the Classic rafting trip you will admire works of a bygone age: dry-stone walls – built by virtue of the workers’ high-level professional skills to obtain more arable soils on the rugged mountainous terrain – and castles that for centuries had been at the centre of our local history.

In particular, you will be able to appreciate the towers of the Sarriod de la Tour medieval castle, the ruins of the Châtel Argent fortress and the imposing Aymavilles Castle.
